Alright you health nerds! I took a long summer break from a strict diet. I was definitely as primal as possible, but I need to get back to healing myself. I went to an awesome natural doctor a few times and learned my food sensitivities, did a few different tests, and got some great tips. This was after being on the very strict AIP diet for two months without any progress, and so after these appointments I just couldn’t bring myself to restrict my diet even more ate that time. But now, I think I’m ready. Tomorrow I begin. The Paleo Autoimmune Protocol, not eating anything I’m sensitive to, and taking lots of supplements.
Today was kinda the indulgence before the break up. I ate peanut butter, cacao nibs, raw dairy, Ben&Jerry’s ice cream, locally made salt and vinegar potato chips, a dark chocolate hazelnut bar, non-GMO corn chips with salsa, and coffee. Oh man, I really love this stuff, but non of it is AIP friendly. I can promise myself that someday I can come back to organic chocolate, raw dairy, and fair-trade coffee - pretty much my favorite foods ever.
So, tonight the bone broth will be on to begin the healing process! I really hope to see great results. It will be so worth it.
I want to be mad at my mom for throwing out my beef, liver, and sweet potato hash that’s been in the fridge for three days - but I can’t. Liver is something may taste buds have not adapted to yet….and I procrastinate eating it. Plenty more in the freezer, though!
Always check your teeth after kale chips.
I fully accept raw cheese and dark chocolate in my clean diet. In moderation - I don’t eat them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. More like a convenient snack. And they make me feel better than when I eat nuts and bananas. I also <3 raw milk.
